岗位职责、工作范围:
The role of Work Placement Officer is to manage and coordinate industry placement activity within IBSS in line with the school’s strategic objectives. The post holder is expected to work closely with the business engagement team within the school and the career development team of the university, taking responsibility for securing work placements and internships at different levels across UG, PG, MBA and PhD programmes. The role holder will report directly to the Business Engagement Manager of the school with a dotted line to the university Student Admissions and Career Development Office. The school teaches a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the fields of Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management, Human Resources, Marketing, Supply Chain, Information Systems and International Business. It currently has 85 academic staff and over 2,000 students, and is growing every year.

1. Represents IBSS to prospective employers and seeks appropriateplacement opportunities both locally, regionally and internationally to include liaising with employers regarding visits to campus for recruitment fairs and ensuring that employer needs are met and that students are aware of the event. 2. Promotes placement opportunities and benefits to students in a range of media including, but not limited to, flyers, presentations, documents, video and on line activity; advising students on their applications andon the requirements of them in undertaking a placement; providing a point of contact while the studentsare on placement and to provide feedback to employers following a placement. 3. Maintains accurate records detailing students, placement providers, academic advisors and placement officers/administrators. 4. Gathers and analyses market information, trends and competitor developments in order to understand and disseminate market intelligence for placements and internships across the school; managing and analysing data and in relation to placement activity and creating reports for both internal and external view;contributing to the development of external accreditation reports. 5. Keeps upto date with current HE placement legislation, policy documents and goodpractice, for both Chinese and international students, to ensure that all aspects ofthe placement procedure are fully compliant with all statutory and otherrequirements.Disseminate information where appropriate. 6. Advises students about placement choice (including future career development andguidance) and how to locate a placement in China. 7. Arranges placement interviews on and off campus. 8. Advises academic staff, academic advisors and professional services staff on individual and general placement issues. 9. Manages and further develops good relationships and strong links with employers inindustry, commerce, the public sector etc.
